What is WoDSmith?

WoDSmith is an AI training coach for athletes and fitness beginners, built German-first. The app creates personalized training plans in seconds — you describe your goal in German or English, and a multi-agent system of GPT models generates a fully periodized plan. WoDSmith supports eleven sports: Functional Fitness, Strength, Fitness Racing, Triathlon, Swimming, Cycling, Running, Climbing, Weightlifting, Calisthenics and Rehab/Prehab, plus an optional nutrition add-on. Each sport has its own coach character with sport-specific training logic. Through the Plan-Coach you adjust plans by text message without rebuilding them manually. The AI runs on Microsoft Azure in the EU (Sweden Central). WoDSmith is available as a web app and an iOS app.

How does WoDSmith build a training plan?

When you request a new plan, a multi-stage AI process handles your input. First an orchestrator agent analyses your request and decides whether it is a new plan, a continuation or an adjustment. Then a planning agent writes a complete plan based on your athlete profile — level, equipment, goals, sport and training history — with blocks (warm-up, strength, conditioning, cool-down). A validator agent then automatically checks the plan for consistency and profile fit before it is shown to you. The whole process is visible as a live stream, so you watch the plan take shape. Afterwards you adjust it every week to your feedback and progress via the Plan-Coach.

Which sports and coach types are there?

Eleven coach types, each with its own training logic: Functional Fitness, Fitness, Fitness Racing, Triathlon, Swimming, Cycling, Running, Climbing, Weightlifting, Calisthenics and Rehab/Prehab. The three endurance coaches (swimming, cycling, running) are specialists for endurance training with their own periodisation.

How does the Plan-Coach work?

The Plan-Coach is the AI assistant that adjusts your existing training plan in natural language — you don’t have to rebuild anything manually. You simply describe what’s going on: “legs are still wrecked, make Wednesday easier”, “went for a spontaneous 10 km run” or “I’m away next week”. The coach then proposes two to four concrete adjustments and shows them as a diff preview — you see exactly what changes and apply only the suggestions you want. Off-plan activities like a spontaneous run are logged too and feed into your history. That keeps your plan realistic and adapts it to your everyday life instead of you chasing a rigid schedule. Every adjustment comes with a clear rationale so you understand why the coach recommends it — no black-box algorithm.

Which subscription plans are there?

Two main subscriptions plus an optional nutrition add-on. Basic: one plan per week, tracking, records, dashboard. Full: unlimited plans and plan adjustments. You’ll find current prices in the app or on the landing page (loaded live from the billing system).

How does the nutrition add-on work?

The optional add-on includes AI nutrition plans, macro targets and nutrition tracking via photo, voice or text. It can be added to Basic and Full and complements your training with matching calorie and nutrient recommendations. You’ll find the current price at checkout.

What is cycle-based training?

For female and non-binary athletes the menstrual cycle phase can feed into training. After health-data consent in your profile, the AI takes the follicular, ovulation, luteal and menstrual phases into account for intensity and recovery.

Where is my data processed?

WoDSmith uses Microsoft Azure OpenAI Service in the EU (Sweden Central). All training plans, coach adjustments and nutrition recommendations are processed in EU data centres — your data does not leave the EU.

When can I cancel?

Any time via the subscription screen. After cancelling, your access stays active until the end of the paid period. Cancellation is managed directly through RevenueCat.

Which competition formats are supported?

WoDSmith supports programming for a wide range of competition formats. In functional fitness the AI builds plans for competitions in the CrossFit® format — with AMRAP, EMOM and For-Time WODs as well as Hero and benchmark WODs. In fitness racing it covers the HYROX® format: singles, doubles and relay with all stations and running intervals. On top of that come endurance competitions in triathlon (sprint, Olympic, middle and long distance up to Ironman) and classic strength-sport competitions such as powerlifting (squat, bench, deadlift) and Olympic weightlifting (snatch, clean & jerk). For every format WoDSmith periodises your training up to race day, builds intensity and recovery sensibly and continuously adapts the plan to your progress. Note: the trademarks named — in particular CrossFit® (CrossFit, LLC) and HYROX® (Upsolut Sports GmbH) — are the property of their respective owners; WoDSmith is not affiliated with them.

Can I use WoDSmith to train for CrossFit®?

Yes. WoDSmith is an AI training coach that builds CrossFit®-style plans — tailored to your level, your goals and the equipment you have. You get AMRAPs, EMOMs, For-Time WODs, chippers and classic Hero WODs, plus combined strength and conditioning. Every movement is automatically scaled to your level, from beginner foundations to competitive programming. During training you log your WOD results (rounds + reps, time or load), WoDSmith detects personal records and shows your progress on the dashboard. Through the Plan-Coach you adjust the plan every week, for example after a hard competition WOD or an injury. That also lets you prepare specifically for functional-fitness competitions in the CrossFit® format. Does WoDSmith help with HYROX® preparation?

Yes. WoDSmith creates training plans specifically for fitness racing in the HYROX® format — as a single, doubles or relay. The plans include all eight stations: SkiErg, sled push, sled pull, burpee broad jumps, rowing, farmers carry, sandbag lunges and wall balls, each with the 1 km running intervals in between. The AI periodises your training over several weeks, building race pace, strength endurance and the transitions (the “compromised running”) and scaling weights and distances to your level. You log every session, WoDSmith detects progress and adjusts the plan to your race date via the Plan-Coach. That makes WoDSmith suitable both for your first HYROX® start and for a new personal best.
